I've been told that VB can be spread house-to-house by lawn services. The guy I used to use started blowing off the underside of his mower after each cut. Is there any truth to this story?

VBW can reproduce-spread 4 ways - above ground seeds (white flowers), below ground seeds, above ground stolons, below ground rhizomes - that’s a major reason its is so difficult to control.
If a lawn is cut close to the ground on a wet day, I could see above ground seeds & stolons sticking to the underside of a mower - is there any evidence of this - I don’t know.

Button weed Msm with surfactant, took me 3 yrs to control mine, I occasionally see some pop up, i spry these with a spray bottle, Pulling it will not control it,

My VBW is doing a number on my lespedeza, that’s one way to get rid of it.
