Vinyl or wood fence?

Getting ready to put up a fence and I am considering vinyl. Looking for opinions either way.

I was leaning towards vinyl after a neighbor put some up. Problem I see is that it gets brittle after a while and I figure it will be difficult to replace a panel and get a match.

I just had a new fence installed at the start of summer and went with cedar. Vinyl might be low maintenance but you can't beat the look of wood IMO, even after it develops the gray patina.

What kind of fence?
IMO vinyl is best for horse and cattle 3 rail / 4 rail fences but it's expensive AF.
For typical neighborhood privacy fencing go with wood.
