Too early for Scott’s Summer Guard?…

I know Scott’s is frowned upon quite a bit here, but for my small yard in a cul-de-sac, their products do fairly well for my needs. My two next door neighbors don’t do shite for their yards other than mow them.

It’s fine to fertilize your lawn now. Just don’t use a Weed & Feed product (one that contains a post-emergent herbicide). That product appears to be a fertilizer with the insecticide bifenthrin which is OK.

My peak summer monthly routine for zoysia is:
-15-0-15 at half rate or 8-0-8 (liquid)
-fungicide
-insect control
I like to add iron too but am having trouble getting it to spray correctly as it plugs up my backpack sprayer.
Preventative fungicide has been a game changer as I dont spend half the season trying to recover from an issue once its already set in.
