Tire Indentation In Front Yard

Someone backed into my front yard when the ground was soft and left a huge tire indentation...runs about 8-9 feet in length. What’s the best way to fix this? Filling it in with dirt/sand? TIA

Try a shovel first to lift up where it has been compacted and breakdown any high points it created. Then use some sand.

Smash it back with your feet.

Make sure the ground is still soft, if not, soak it well for a day or two

I used to fix these ruts when we backed trucks into yards. Cut along the end of the rut with a shovel. Use a fork to raise the turf and fill with good, loose topsoil mix. After setting the turf back down, I'd take the area to blend the grass. Sometimes you couldn't tell after.

got a new suv last year for my wife and the yard around my driveway now shudders when she gets behind the wheel

Turn it over with a spade pitchfork then level it out. It’s compressed you want to un compress it if that make sense.
