Looking for suggestions for a thermal imaging camera under $300. I "had" a FLIR thermal image attachment for my android but misplaced it and cannot find it.

Looking on Amazon and found several that seem to have decent reviews but wanted to see if anyone here has one that they like. I figured it would be easier to keep track of a handheld model and store it with my tools in the garage.

Amazon

The FLIRC5 is more, but I used the older version of it (C3 Maybe) for checking for water leaks and helping improve the energy efficiency in my home. You can probably find one on ebay for your price.

What's your budget and how much resolution do you want. Klein TI250 for basic functionality is still going to be $350. Harbor Freight unit is cheaper but very low resolution.

I have that exact one and I've been happy with it. I don't like the ones that attach directly to your phone because they don't always work with your phone case installed.

Primary function will be to check the windows that were leaking that my builder had fixed. I want to check all the doors & windows around our new house to get them fixed before the one year warranty is up.

I probably won't use it much once everything is fixed so I didn't want to spend too much money on something to use it one time.

I like Flir, but don’t think they make a handheld in your budget. If they do it is probably going to have a tiny screen and low resolution

All his options will be low resolution in that budget. My Flir camera has 320x240 sensor resolution and I got it for just under $1000 years ago. I think anything like it now will be at least $3000.

I think you can rent a thermal.
