For me, the last two nights have been better. I’m guessing the rain helps out.

They were swarming a few nights ago after having an outside light on. We called termite control guy and coming out in 2 weeks to do termite prevention to our home and surrounding structures. Guy said very busy these days. $1700 initially and $170 for yearly inspection & spraying.

What I've observed over the years:

1. They always swarm between dusk and 9ish. No earlier, no later.
2. A big rain usually invigorates them to swarm, but not necessarily the same day. In fact, they will not swarm DURING a rain. So if it is raining during their dusk-9 usual swarming time, then they will reschedule.
3. Whenever you get a huge swarm like we did Sunday, they seem to blow their load and you won't see them again for a few nights while they get the next batch of assholes ready to go.

I am finding the tubes in my yard. Have not seen anything around the foundation, but finding the tubes is concerning. I’ve disturbed them, and a few have active termites working them.

Should I be concerned about finding them in my yard?
