Do they make it a hassle to get replacement bulbs
It's not really a hassle - the VOLT reps are efficient and friendly.

But who wants to wait in a call queue, set up a return and wait for the replacement when good, cheap LED bulbs are one Amazon Prime click away?

Ive literally emailed them and their response email was a tracking number and I got the bulb the next day. Thats how easy it was.

Those with a front garage that installed after the house was built, how is yours set up? Do you have 2 separate transformers? One for in front of the garage and one for the other side or do you have it all connected?
If all connected, did you tunnel under your driveway or run through house?

Another vote for Volt. I got two 6 light kits from Costco. I have a very wide driveway so I just have a transformer on each side. 12 lights in total. Very easy to do. Worst part as someone said was burying the wire. Since my lights are mostly all behind the shrubs, I didn't have much to dig since I didn't bury any wire that was hidden by pinestraw.

Curious how yall determined what yall needed. I have a lot of landscaping and a two story home (subtle brag). Should I just illuminate the landscaping or the home as well? I don't think I can get the second story properly lit.

Was looking at the Volt brand.

We started with a VOLT transformer that was oversized for the initial job, put in basic lights around walkways and landscape features, and then expanded to other areas once we got a sense of how it looked.

Consider using the heavier 10/2 cable if you want flexibility to add lights far from the transformer.

While not required, I'd recommend mounting the transformer in a garage or shed. Eventually ants attacked the transformer through the conduit that leads into the ground, and we are fortunate to have the unit mounted in a place that is easy to monitor.

I have one transformer on the side. Just went around back of house to get to other side. There was a small section where I had to go under a sidewalk. I crimped one end of a small pipe and hammered it through.
