Not sure. Google says we have them in the area, but I’ve never paid enough attention to the birds in my area to know for sure.

I got a birdhouse pole that has one of those anti predator baffles on it. We’ll see how that works in practice.

Around here there are a lot of bluebird houses. Most of these are mounted on a T-pole with a piece of 2" pvc conduit around it. The hole for the house needs to be a minimum of 5' off of the ground, but 6' is better.

Over the years my many wrens have nested in hanging ferns and between exterior shutters and windows. Never in the built to specs wren house I put up. Good luck.

There’s a website called Texas Bluebirds Society and tells you everything you need to know with pictures. Helped a lot on our first year with successful bluebird houses, nest, eggs, hatching, fledglings, pictures, peeking out hole, and timing of their departure flight. If we weren’t outside to see them fly, never would have known. Nature!!
