What’s the average cost to get a a stump grinded down? I’m getting quotes around 350 per stump. That sound right?

Yes that is the average price in Lafayette unless you have tiny stumps. Or you can rent a machine for 4 hours and do it yourself, it's actually not that bad once you have the equipment.

Where you at? There are cheaper options in my area unless the stump is massive.

Just paid 600 for a 6 plus foot diameter oak…
The grinder was not the little saw blade sweeping thing …it was a drive up monster… they had to take down my fence to get it in…

Was 40 plus year old oak I had removed with a crane..

Pay 250-350 for a guy to use the sweep blade one… minimum to come out and the based on diameter.

I just rented a stump grinder today for 2 40in diameter oak stumps and a few smaller stumps.

It was 335 including tax for 24hrs from AAA Rental in Baton Rouge.

Ive never used the machine before and it was surprisingly easy. Took several hours but got them all knocked out to my satisfaction.

The model was a Barreto 30SG with tracks.

A guy around here did a couple for 150
a stump. If he cut the tree down he ground the stump for no extra charge.

Of course his low prices were cash only no 1099 price
