I've got 3 Kentucky Runner bean ready to pick. Do I just put them in a ziplock bag until i get enough to freeze or can? How long can I keep them that way while collecting before they spoil?

Google says they will last about 10 days in a bag, but I would rather hear from you professionals

Blanch them then freeze them.

I understand that part. I’m asking what to do with the ones I have UNTIL I get enough to freeze

Not sure how many you have but typically I'm filling and freezing several quart size bags each time I pick. I usually pick a wash pan full each time.

So, it sounds like you are saying you pick every couple of days. If that is the case, I would pick, she’ll, and keep them in the refrigerator so they don’t mildew. When you have a quart collected, blanch and freeze.

no, i just have 3 bean pods that are ready. I dont have any others at all. I may have to just throw these out and wait on all of them to start producing

I am the same way. I don't have a ton of beans/peas.
I'll collect them and shell them and put them in a closed tupperware in the fridge until i have enough to store or cook.
