Had St Augustine installed at home in Florida last week. My irrigation system is not fully functioning so I am watering myself and with sprinkler attachments. Landscaping companies all giving me different stories for how to keep alive.

What do y’all recommend I do to keep St Augustine grass going? I know the first month is crucial. Thanks !

As much water as you can get down in the 1st 24hrs. Want it soaking.

Taper off slowly until you are watering every other day within 7-10 days. (Twice a day to once a day...)

Then move to deep soaking watering every 2-3 days by the end of the month.

Water every morning until it is rooted. That is usually 2 weeks. After that return to the normal water schedule
