What do you use/Recommend?

Use gas heat but one side of the house is always colder.

Thanks.

i wouldnt buy anything else after using them

all the vertical infared heaters i tried dont spread the heat or work nearly as well

Oil-filled heaters are the way to go here. Silent and warm the air instead of heating objects like IR heaters do. More efficient too.

No they are not. I used oil filled for years but the Infrared is way warmer and heats a larger space as it has a fan that pushes the warm air out further from the heater.

They are, they absolutely convert more electrical power into heat. That's not debatable and if you imagine otherwise then hook up some test equipment and figure it out for yourself.

It feels warmer, because IR radiation penetrates objects directly subject to exposure. Fans are using wattage that doesn’t attribute to heat generation, which for any given 15 amp circuit where a 1500W heater is all you have to work with, that matters.

Electric oil filled radiator type heater. Does not dry out the air, and can't set anything next to it on fire.
