The first question in any solar application is how much energy will you use?

My back shed never has had power to it as it was built WAY before I moved into this house and only use it for storing lawn equipment, ladders and stuff for the garden.
I did put in a motion detector 2 bulb LED solar powered light and it works just fine for my needs. I drilled a hole in the side of the shed big enough to feed the power wire into the light fixture and mounted the solar panels on the outside of the shed.
When I open the door, the light comes on and as long as I'm moving around in the shed, it stays on. If I don't move, or leave the shed, it goes off in about 20 seconds.
Cost me something like $30 at Home Depot a couple years ago.

Harbor Freight sells some kits that are a good value.

No he didnt idiot. In a solar application there is a huge difference in keeping a light on for 30 minutes a day or 6 hours a day. Or if most days he wont need any light but on some days he will need 8 hours of light.

Not sensitive at all. I was the one trying to help and he was the one that posted nonsense. As a matter of fact your post is pretty useless also.

That doesn't say anything. What does he need powered, how long does he need it, and when he will need it again?
