I have all but given up on my lawn, struggling with 4 large oaks (that can not be cut down) and finding a suitable grass that will grow underneath. Looking to incorporate large beds under oak with new sod. Any recommendations of company's used?

Sunny Sod in Slidell can provide the sod and install. They do a good job

Sunny Side took care of me. 16 pallets of Zoysia. Live oaks in back but plenty of sun in my yard too.

How did they prep the area and do you mind sharing cost?

Following… looking to get a load of sand to spread. Is Sunny Sod’s white mason sand a good quality?

My contractor brought in brown mud and masonry sand, leveled and put in drainage and then SunnySod can in and laid the sod.

Before doing your sod, rent a manlift and trim the trees. It will allow more sunlight in. No turfgrass is completely shade tolerant.

What did Sunny Sod charge for the 16 pallets installed, if you don't mind?

Looking for the quote.

I had 2 massive white oaks removed including stump grinding, old concrete patio including aluminum canopy removed, a lot of groundwork, leveling, French drains and catch basins installed, New 10 x 20 concrete pad poured, 10 x 12 12' " paver area installed, brown dirt and masonry sand and then the 16 pallets of sod. Installed a 10x20 Pergola/patio combo (Powder coated aluminum with opening slats for pergola appearance and closure for rain/sun protection. All told it was around $30,000.

My contractor did give me line item quote, just got to find it.
