I have a Ryobi blower and trimmer that run on a 40v lithium ion battery. I need a replacement battery but I can't find the exact one anywhere. It's part #OP4026.

Question is, can I use another part number with no issue as long as it's the same voltage/Wh?

Don't think that would work. Check thru HD to see if they can order it.

Amazon has them as well as knock off batteries.

Probably, Ryobi has been awesome about making sure their tools can use the same batteries.

ryobi slickdeals
Perhaps check these prices on tool/battery sets (pay attention to zipcode in post). It may not be much more than a battery by itself, not sure.

Check the specs or description of the blower. I'll bet it is compatible with all of their 40v batteries.

Should be fine picking up another 40v.

I have a couple of the 40v(5ah/6ah) that I bought with my mower but they are all cross compatible with other 40v equipment, so I use them with my pole saw and hedger as well.

The only thing I would say is that you may want to pick up one of the lower capacity ones (2ah/4ah) ones the 5&6s are on the heavier side. It makes it a little heavy when I'm using the pole saw/hedger so I'd imagine the same when using blower/trimmer.

I just got 2 off Amazon, one a refurbished exactly like the original, the other a knock with double the wh/ah and both fit no problem.

Like you it's for the trimmer and blower.

Parents had problems with the battery casings melting ever since they got their 1st trimmer. Their place on the side of a hill in Hot Springs Village was rocks, weeds, and wildflowers, so it was start and stop, start and stop, start and stop, constantly. That is not what the design was about and caused the connectors to get really hot.

They went through Ryobi warranty and eventually were told after about the 5th battery to take their trimmer to certified repair for checkup. Ended up being 45 min. drive to Benton and was just a little old man with a shop behind his house who checked it out and declared trimmers were fine, just the constant start/stop was the problem.

i bought amazon knockoff LioN batteries to replace my nicad 18v dewalt batteries for a fraction of the dewalt replacement batteries and they are the shite. YMMV but the difference is night and day for me and how strong the batteries are.

Yea a lot of times they use just ABS for the case material which is shite. It's pretty much melted down old sewer pipe.
That and the moldings can be trash, and poorly made.
Typically most all "OEM" packs are made with some sort of GF reinforced plastic.

The main issue you see with them is they like to use crappy/cheap/unknown 18650 battery cells. Their numbers are never accurate, and most of these are made/labeled to look like the good stuff.
Most "OEM" packs use the highly regarded Sony VCT4/5s or LG HG2s.

OP I would suggest contacting Ryobi.
I'm sure there is an alternate part number they could provide you if you can not find something to fit.
Or, roll the dice going the aftermarket route.
