Replacing a few damaged wood flooring planks -

As topic states, I'm replacing two small sections of damaged wood flooring instead of redoing entire rooms.
My dilemna - floors are approx 10 yrs old and finding a match has been tough. I finally found a very close match which includes 3 varying widths like the original floors have. My only problem is the new planks are slightly smaller in thickness/height than originals (new are 1/2", existing are 9/16 or maybe 5/8).
Is there a way to slightly raise the new planks so they match up height-wise?
TIA

Shim them.
How much difference ?
You can use anything from 30# felt to a thin layer of mortar.

Not much, maybe 1/16"-1/8" max. Thank for the reply.

Odd but just use tar paper

Hoping OP has glue down. I have a couple boards to replace like that. Previous owner left some spare boards in the attic.

Kicking this back up with a twist...
How to remove glued down planks?
Some jackhole ripped the laminate back on a corner of a board. People can't carry their damn bags anymore it seems.

Rip it a few times with a circular saw with the depth set just shy of the slab. Hammer and chisel up the pieces, then scrape the slab clean.
