Removing wax from concrete

Trying to acid stain some outdoor concrete.
Wife spilled the wax from a citronella candle in one spot.
I hit it with the pressure washer and got the big chunks off, but water still beads on the spot.
Ivve tried a hair dryer and lighter to melt the wax and soak it up with a paper towel, but that seems like a bust.
Are there any chemicals I can use to clean this spot so the acid stain will work?

Im hesitant to take a torch to it. Dont want it to spank or anything. I just pressure washed it yesterday afternoon

??
How about a steam iron with an old tee shirt to soak up the wax?

Lol, spank.
Meant Spall.
But I did take a torch to it anyway. Doesnt seem like it did anything. Put some googone on it as well.
Tried an iron with a brown paper bag as well, it laughed at that.
Its really just a small spot, so I might just soak it with the acid real good and live with it. Its just frustrating. Told her not to put that damn candle on there.
Maybe I'll try the iron with a shirt.

Could try some type of heavy duty degreaser but might also leave some stain on the concrete afterwards.

Use the torch, the wax should burn away well before you spall the concrete. Just don't blast it. May take a few times to get it all out. You could also try a heat gun, that might get hot enough to burn off the was but not spall the concrete.

I’d try wire brush and degreaser along with a blow torch.

Try Trewax- Instant Wax Remover. The concentrate is cheap at $13 a gallon and great for stripping concrete floors. They have it on Amazon and at Home Depot
