Anyone have a good, legit recommendation as opposed to the Ads and SEO results I’ll get on Google?

Samsung fridge (I know Samsung sucks but it’s what came with the house)

Freezer constantly building up ice (looks like it snowed in the freezer when I open it - particularly on the left side)
Started making a sound like a loud fan running this morning. Unplugged and plugged back in and the sounds have since stopped

Is your defrost line clear?

My Samsung freezer does this too. I was told possibly the door gasket loose. Here’s a guy I used for my washing machine and he was priced right, fair, and did the job. His service call fee went towards the bill bc the repair was made. He is a retired repairman and was recommended to me by my boss. I also saw his name in next door. If he doesn’t do freezers, maybe he can point you to someone reputable. I haven’t reached out to him yet on this, but plan to eventually. His name is Travis, 504-415-2109.

Samsung. Ice only in freezer?

Likely your drain line is clogged and the water has no where to go. May need a new drain heater. May just need to be steamed out. Usually an easy fix.
What happens is the water has no where to go so when it evaporates it just becomes frost all inside the freezer.
This is common in samsungs with dual evaporates for sure.

Travis Dezarn. I can't figure out how he makes money with his billing. I'm cheap but he's really cheap. Lol
Does good work but isn't insured or a business if that matters.

Idk. My boss used him, said he was a retired repairman or was one, can’t recall. And his name popped up in references on Fb. Maybe it’s side work. Only used him once. If I ever call him back I’ll ask about insurance. Are you in Metairie area? Insured? If so I’ll contact you when I’m ready to have my freezer looked at.

I have a similar problem but on the refrigerator. Samsung is notorious for drains freezing. I ordered a drain line heat extension, a new thermistor, and thermostat. I have seen videos of people wrapping copper wire and extending into the drain line.

This works great and is something I do to every fridge. Just some copper 14 or 16ga wire coil around heater and drop 2-3" into drain hole.
