One of the springs for my garage broke. The door, motor, track, etc. are all fine. Any recs for somebody quick and reasonable to replace the spring in this area?

Also, any guesses on price? Internet tells me in the range of $250ish for parts and labor.

Craftsman Garage Door, 985-646-1960. He replaced two springs on my door for $375. My door is bigger than most garage doors so my springs were a little more cost wise.

Also, if one spring broke, you might as well replace both.

This is one of the few projects I let the expert handle.

Thanks. Yeah I was planning on just having them both done. They were both old and rusted, so the second one is probably a ticking time bomb anyway.

And yeah, this is one I really didn't give much consideration to trying to do myself lol. I DIY a lot, but I dunno, this one intimidates me a bit.

Definitely worth hiring a professional, and I DIY the hell out of most projects.

I’ve used elite garage door for years in my homes and on my parents homes. Glen is the owner and a very nice and honest guy.
