I have a standing seam metal roof on my house, would adding some radiant barrier make a difference in my attic?

I'll be curious to the answers myself. I know they work with shingle roofs but I have a metal roof too and wonder if the roof itself is enough to reflect the sunlight/heat off.

if your SS roof is installed over wood sheathing you already have a radiant barrier

Yes that is what I have. It’s SS roof over plywood. Thanks for answering

Yes, it would help, but I'm not sure how much. Depending on the color of your roof, you are likely already reflect much of the radiant heat of the roof, The darker the color, the more your roof will absorb and reradiate. The reradiated heat is what the radiant barrier helps mitigate, a black or darker-colored shingle roof will absorb and reradiate a lot more heat than a light-colored metal roof
