Putting a glass block window in a bathroom

This is pretty DIY day 1 right. We have a single bowl sink and my wife wants a double. So I’d need to remove a small 2x3 window because of the double mirrors. and further down the wall do a 5x5 block window right in front of a marble/tile shower
Am I living in the 90s? Glass block is still around right. It’s my home but I’m conditioned to look at remodel as whether it adds value to the house

I'd say more 80s than 90s, but maybe it makes a comeback.

Feels like I’ve seen them in some high end hgtv stuff recently. Maybe they were leaving some in on remodels who knows

You still see it in my subdivision, but all the homes are custom and not a huge developer subdivision.

We have one in a shower in our house.
Home Depot/Lowes still sell them, so I'd think they're still being put in newer homes in the right scenario.

Aesthetics-wise, I think if your entire house is dated looking, the glass block window will just reinforce it. I don't think it would kill resale if the rest of your house is sufficiently updated looking. This is all assuming it's not a front wall of your home.
Would you consider an actual window with plantation shutters? As long as they're the plastic coated ones and your shower's not spraying directly at them, it might be an option.
