Anyone have any insight on this? I have a new Tahoe RST. Is this something worth looking into?

If you don't like waxing your car they're awesome but expensive. It makes washing a breeze as most dirt bugs etc will just wash off.
It's not gonna stop scratches, rock chips or swirl marks from going thru automatic car washes with brushes.
If you really want to protect your paint from things like that go with paint protection film.
Eta: if your just looking for the ease in keeping it clean there are several diy products that are easy to apply and have the same hydrophobic easy cleaning as a full on ceramic. They just don't last as long. Think 6 months vs 3 years.

Cerakote has a product that goes on so easy and is so slick. I ordered it from Amazon.

Had it done to our car and it turned out fantastic. A bit pricey but our car stays outdoors, down here in Az the sun can ruin most things in a short period of time. Gave me a 5 yr guarantee, once a year I take it back and he does a "tune up" of the finish. Done 1 year ago and still is smooth as a baby's butt.

Yes, ceramic coat is worth looking into.
I had it done to my wife's car - the water was still beading up 5 years later when we sold the car.
