Wouldn't the system throw up a "Faulty Flow Sensor" error?

I have an aquarite which gives a red light for no flow. Its been a few years. My memory tells me that the flow meter is a tri-sensor that also measures salinity but the google machine just told me that its just a flow meter and salinity is calculated on the motherboard based on power usage.

So I am most likely mistaken and I had a no flow reading when there was obvious flow. There are SWGs that use a tri-sensors just not mine.

Home depot/Walmart will have 1 gallon jugs of 10% liquid chlorine.

If there’s a Pinch A Penny Pool in the area the one by us has a deal for a 2.5 gallon chlorine for around $11 per. You put a deposit (I think around $10-20) down for a container and just swap them out. Cheapest deal I’ve seen for chlorine.

What type of salt system do you have? This may help give more accurate info on how to trouble shoot the issue.

I have a Hayward sand hopper filter with a t9 salt cell and aquarite swg. I have a tech coming out next week hopefully to look at the motherboard and see if it’s bad. According to 2 different local companies they only last like 5-6 years. Which seems incredibly stupid for something that expensive

A lot of what you’re describing sounds like a bad motherboard. They have a limited lifespan. Usually it’s a thermistor that goes bad and causes all kinds of inaccurate readings. The part is very cheap and somewhat easy to replace but requires you to solder it on the motherboard.

If you choose to replace the motherboard I’d go with Hayward brand. I accidentally bought an aftermarket one and it was creating all kinds of error codes.
