Pool Service Company Rec around BR/Ascension

Building a saltwater gunite pool. Pool builder recommended I use a service company to keep up with my pool chemicals at least the first 6 months or so I don't let the water levels get out of hand and void the plaster warranty due to damage. I had a vinyl pool in the past, figured I could handle it myself with bringing samples somewhere like a Leslie's etc. Anyone have any recommendations on a pool guy around Prairieville/Gonzales? I don't even know how much something like that costs.

handle that shite yourself. buy your own test kit and dont go near the pool store.
expect at least around $300 a month plus cost of chemicals if someone else does it. I was spending 3-500 a month before I took mine over. my water has never looked better, the pool guy had my water all fricked up. I have never had a algae outbreak and keep my csi in perfect range using trouble free pool methods. The money I saved on the pool guy I invested in a swg and variable speed pump to make things easier for me.
ID go to trouble free pool forum and their wiki to read about what it takes to tend to a new plaster pool. I have read that ph can be an issue for about a year. My thought process is if I am going to spend 100k+ on a pool id rather take care of the water and make sure its right as opposed to fooling qith a guy thats only seeing it once a week for 30 minutes.
I would also read up on trouble free so that you can document the plaster process and take samples from the plaster when they are spraying. could save you alot of headache if you do run into issues. I would definitely do a little research so you can ask questions and document along the way.

Be wary of the actual cost as well. Some pool service companies charge you a fee for cleanings (I've seen $150/week recently) PLUS chemicals. So you basically pay someone to do what you would already do. You're looking at like 4k+ for someone to clean your pool and check/add chemicals. Hard for me to swallow that if I have the time.
My advice, if you have a little experience keeping up with a pool, is to just do it yourself. Also I'd be sure what it means for the "plaster warranty" to void. If plaster damage is such a concern to your pool builder, maybe they should take over maintenance for the first month to ensure that their product performs as it should.

The pool company provides service the first month. Runs it as a chlorine-only system that first month before introducing salt. They recommend the Orenda app to help with keeping up with levels and chemical calculations but want an electronic analysis of the water at least once a month the first year.

It's a "concierge" type of pool service -- and certainly not inexpensive. They come weekly, and do a phenomenal job. My pool has never looked better.
