Papalo - A cilantro substitute that doesn't taste like soap for some people

I love cilantro and I buy it religiously at the grocery store. I've often tried to grow my own in SLC and it still bolts like nobody's business. Here's an alternative:
Papalo:

Its not exactly cilantro, but close. Its more lemony and licroious-y, and STRONG. So do not under any circumstances use it by weight like cilantro. It is damn good though, and you can grow it from seed every year and it produces.
For those in really hot climates, once you get a plant started, you'll get plenty of dandelion-like seeds in fall you can capture and replant. Terrior Seeds suggests in my link above that this may be hard, but I've never even put additional seeds in the ground and I'm in Utah. Whatever seeds were dropped have sprouted and grown. I've actually had to pull Papalo plants.

I like cilantro a lot but every time I plant it like you said it immediately bolts. Easier just to buy it in the store

Wait, nevermind:

A word of warning – if you don’t like cilantro, you’ll like papalo even less!

Also a big cilantro fan. Culantro is another warm season herb can can be subbed for cilantro. LINK.
Been meaning to try papalo - thanks for the reminder.

I used to be. In my mid-30's, it went away. Now I love it, and it doesn't taste like soap anymore. There's still hope bbvdd. Try some soon and see if it's gone away. It's life altering.
