For you painters out there, what’s the process for prepping and painting an exterior concrete block wall? What’s some good paint brands to go with?

Clean it well and fill in cracks where necessary

They sell masonry paint as said the Sherwin Williams Loxon is one option. I have a commercial account due to some rental properties I buy a whopping like 10 gallons a year. I bought some Loxon about 2 weeks ago and it went from $89 to $39 with my ‘commercial account’. You may need an ein to set one up I can’t remember, I just can’t believe the discount was that much.

We painted a wall that was taking on major moisture and actually puddling up on the interior side with an elastomeric paint from SW. It has done very well for years now. I can't recall what the prep process was.

We are friends with a couple. The husband is a contractor and the wife is an interior designer. They get insane discounts. I bought stuff at West Elm under her account and a chair/light fixture/end table went from a combined ~$3600 to ~$2500. Whenever I need to buy a lot of paint, I get him to do it and it's at least 30% off I think.
Crazy how marked up everything is for every day people because I know they still make money on the discounted rates.
