I went with a 23x19” from BBQguys. I wanted the next size up but the space didn’t really allow for it. I’ll see how it works out after some use, but just looking at it I’m happy with it. It’s big enough to fit my Green Egg grid grates in which I was most concerned with.

I want to say mine is around 20”. I didn’t have a ton of counter space so didn’t want to go too big. It’s perfect for washing hands and 90% of my dishes. The big stuff I have to bring inside though.

Nice. Mind me asking who you’re using? I’m on the northshore too. Don’t have an existing covered patio so I’m doing everything from scratch - covered patio structure + kitchen.

I've heard great things about them.

Mind me asking a rough number to get this done?

That looks awesome. Really like how you kept it pretty simple on the appliance end. Also love how your bar area is under the covered area. I wish we could’ve done that but just didn’t work out with the design trade offs.

Not sure if you already have them, and I looked at peacock pavers as well, but check out Landmark Ceramics Frontier20 line. Nothing bad to say about peacock pavers, but I went with those in bluestone select color on my whole hardscape and am super happy with them. I liked the texture a bit more than peacock pavers’ smoother surface.

I was skeptical because I wanted actual bluestone, but it was several months out and I wanted to get the project done in the construction phase. The pavers don’t look like actual bluestone on their own, but they do look really good imo and they come in a lot of colors. I also think are a bit cheaper than peacock pavers also. $6-7/ft for the 24”x24”. You’ll be happy either way but just wanted to give you another option in the event you hadn’t heard of them. Brick & Block on highway 59 sells them and has numerous samples in stock.

Thanks, we are actually holding off on peacock pavers because of cost but I will go check out the ones you mentioned

We are leaning toward Black granite.

I wanted to go with concrete but the guy that drew my plans screwed up the elevations so we wound up going with black pearl leathered granite to save some height (concrete has to be thicker). I like it a lot, but my bar area faces south and gets afternoon sun so I'm definitely going to have to get a shade sail before next summer. The black granite gets hot. Obviously not a problem if you have it totally shaded.

Around 70k, alot of hardscape to go along with the roof and kitchen I posted above

Roger that. I assumed a minimum of $50K-$60K.

Thanks for the response and please be sure to follow up once complete with pictures / review. Assuming construction goes smoothly, any idea when they're saying it'll be complete?

We used Pitaya color granite as it blends well and it is used on wrong side which is called honed and it is not shiny or reflective of light. Don’t forget to get large ceiling fan and smaller oscillating ones for corners for all this summer heat.

NShore96 - did they do your design too? I’m starting to sketch things out myself but will need to engage someone for plans soon
