Nutsedge - High temps

Any recommendations on how to attack nutsedge this time of year DFW.
I thought I read I can use Ortho Nutsedge Killer regardless of temperature, but now that I purchased it I’m seeing otherwise.
I have sedgehammer too, but I believe that has temperature limitations as well.
I finally found a fert that works, but nutsedge has gone crazy.

Just use a lighter treatment. 2x 30 days apart. Useless after 15-sep according to Neil Sperry so apply first one now.
They come back every year so controlling them this season is super beneficial for next season.

I spot spray once a week or so with this in the middle of the day (full sun) and I've never had turf injury at all. I have Tifway 419.

I use sedgehammer or certainty during high temps and haven't had issues. I usually spray in the evening though. Dismiss which works well, probably should be careful in high temps

I use Image and it works fine and no issues in the heat.
Just mix up a little of your Ortho and spray a small spot. If it works then go nuts. If not, move to something different.

Ortho started working after 2 days. I am thoroughly impressed. Didn’t have to load up the sprayer.
Gonna hit the other spots this week.

Sedgehanmer works for me. I need to find some dye to put in it though.
We’ve had an outbreak this year.

Same here. I sprayed some Nutsedge in a non-grassy area with glyphosate and it took 7-9 days to notice impact.
Burned the Bermuda a bit with Ortho but it’ll be fine and won’t need to be mowed for a while.

It's pricey, but I use Celsius Xtra. Kills basically every weed but crabgrass. Used it two weeks ago on a bunch of sedge I had popping up and it's all dead today. Bermuda still chugging along

Vexis - an affordable granular product that is typically 1 shot kill. You “spot treat” with it.
Long term, you should look for the cause of sedge as it enjoys being it a wet location. Fill in low spots and check irrigation/drainage.

Just ordered some. Really high application rate, but like that it’s granular. Hope it works.
