My favorite Bermuda YouTuber is Ron Henry. Do not follow how to with doc.
Just can’t stand Doc
Don’t even know why…
I like the “average lawn guy” too when it comes to Bermuda.

Another question related to the OP. Do you use starter fertilizer ON the actual sod ... OR on the dirt and put the sod on top?

That’s a question better suited for Ronk.
I’ve never laid sod.

Apologies - it was directed at ronk, but I see I replied to you on it.
Last year I did it on top of my new 419 sod, but I just read some things on forums and other message boards recently about spreading it on the soil BEFORE laying the sod.

It makes a ton of sense unless you are using a foliar fertilizer.

What's the deal with that guy?

Accurate regarding what in particular? Various things?

I just noticed more times than once he said something that didn’t make sense, I can’t remember exactly.
They all do it, but he tries to sell his products too hard.
The final straw for me was he had some problem in his lawn, and he acted like he allowed the problem to get bad to show us how to fix it. I didn’t buy it and unsubscribed.

Agree. And sometimes comes across and if his way is the only way for success.

Yikes...
I have noticed in the couple of videos I've watched in their entirety have bounced all around on various topics and things around his property and didn't always spend a ton of time on the "topic" at hand.

If you’re buying from a sod farm, ask the grower what he recommends.
Overall, a soil test would actually tell you what your lawn really needs. Although phosphorus is good for plant establishment, it moves slowly through the soil. So you might already have adequate or high phosphorus levels.

Dudes trying to separate you from your money. He pushes his products and says you must put them down to have a great lawn
