Does anyone have names of reliable builders in Nola? I’ve got a few names but would love to check through a few more.

I am a sub-contractor for many contractors in Nola. Hotard construction is the only one I recommend to friends, especially in lakeview.

Didn’t build in Lakeview but just finished building a house in Gabriel Estates in Kenner. I’d advise going thru the parade of homes and picking a builder out of there those are pretty much the premier builders in NOLA. I was between 4 different builders but I ultimately went with C Adams Construction and Design. He was a close associate of the architect I used which made the building process very easy for me. If I had to build another home I’d happily use him again my house came out awesome.

So you would be looking north of $250/square foot when considering living area only. Seems to be about right.

Half a mill for a 2000 sq. ft. living area house. Ooooof.

165 - 175 per sq ft unless you can find someone with zero inventory. The ones with inventory are still selling inflated material prices

There’s a 2,000sf spec house being built near me in Thibodaux. Asking is $430,000. That’s $215/sf living!!!! That’s insane!

Hearing $185-190 in the Monroe area. Better than what was quoted last spring, but interest rates are the real killer right now

Built in Broussard last year. 2861 sft living. 4900 sft under roof. (3 car garages, huge patio with kitchen and driveway. No landscaping or grass. Price was $198 sft. Pretty nice house with no real corners cut (no clay ridge roof capping or tankless water heaters)
