terd, for the most part, I am a do-it-yourselfer...I have my limits, but this project isn't one of them...

I removed one of the wires on the doorbell button, as suggested in this thread, and the buzzing stopped… So my button is bad and I am going to take this opportunity to install a Ring doorbell.

If straight on view for the ring doorbell works, great. If not they make a wedge, it turns the ring in the direction of what you want visually. To start, they record, after the trial period, you have to pay for this feature. Have any more questions, let me know.
