Is it ok to mix the two? If so what’s the ratio?

I have sedge/lypinga all through my yard. Plus there are other weeds that I use the msm on for control.

Also, is it a good time to spread out some Dimension for further crabgrass and other weed control?

Yes, you can mix the two. I have a fill chart at work and I’ll post it tomorrow. You’d better off with Celsius/sedgehammer though.

I never do a summer pre em. So I would say no to dimension

I mixed MSM and Sedgehammer a few weeks back and it worked phenomenally. Only thing it didn’t knock out was the dallisgrass.

I did MSM at 0.5 oz/ksqft and Sedgehammer at 0.9 grams/ksqft.

I’m not good at math.

I know it’s 7 pebbles of msm per gallon of water plus surfactant.

Site One Landscape Supply in the Industrialplex (Exchequer) 5 minutes from Cleggs on Siegen carries it - about $105 a bottle last time. I checked.

You sure you didn’t apply 0.5 grams of MSM Turf per ksqft?

Yeah, .5 oz might work on dallisgrass

Can you give me the measurements for the msm and sesgehammer in teaspoons?

My notes have 0.5 oz/k....but looking at the label I applied 0.5 oz/acre. I applied it to 18k sqft, so had a little more room for error, but not that much lol

1/8 teaspoon (= 0.5 gram) of MSM Turf per 1000 sq ft

Sedgehammer is applied at 0.9 gram per 1000 sq ft, my bottle came with a measuring spoon, but that spoon looks to me to be right at 1/4 teaspoon so go with that.

So mix those two herbicides, + 2 teaspoons of surfactants, in 1 or 2 gallons of water and apply over 1000 sq ft of lawn. In my case, at my walking speed and with my sprayer I need 2 gallons of solution to cover 1,000 sq ft - might be different for you.

Label still recommends 0.9g(one sedgehammer scoop) per 1-2 gallons with spot spraying as well as surfactant.

With that said if you have a fair bit of sedges or if that's your main weed, would be better to do a broadcast/blanket spray vs spot spraying.

Good grief. I knew sedgehammer was high, but you have to use a lot too.

1/4 teaspoon ~ 0.9 gram Sedgehammer, mix in 1 gal of water with 2 teaspoons of surfactant, and spot spray. And be patient - takes 2 to 3 weeks, usually, to really see the effects.

I sprayed MSM, sedgehammer and hi-yield grass killer mixed together yesterday. I am either going to kill some weeds or blow up my yard.
