lol. You know Bermuda is technically a weed. I don't like it but I don't hate on people that do. It's weird the attitude Bermuda lovers have.

I agree with you on common bermuda, its the worst.

However, a well maintained hybrid bermuda yard is tough to beat.

Technically a weed is anything that you don't want growing in your lawn, garden, or flowerbed. So St Aug and centipede are weeds as well. A bermuda lawn is not a weed.

see what i mean about Bermuda people.

Anybody that has a good looking lawn is good in my book. I posted pictures of my lawn in response to the guy that said he pity's people that have bermuda. You say that bermuda is a weed. I responded to you. Neither time did I start the conversation.

To be fair, it currently has some yellow spots from nutsedge dying. But with all of this rain it'll recover. Another benefit to Bermuda, just spray whatever weeds are in the yard and let the bermuda bounce back. Unless you accidentally use glyphosate, then it will still bounce back just take 3 months

That’s an awesome yard!!!

I’m not trying to argue with the guy. I’ve seen gorgeous Bahia lawns and I would never plant that.

Another beautiful lawn. You’ve done an awesome job. I’ve got mulch in mine too. Sometimes I’m just too tired to pick it up.

You may have answered this but is that a reel mower cut or rotary?

Its a rotary. Big Dog Alpha MP zero turn. I have an acre to cut so any reel mower that would meet my needs are super pricey.

_Last year, I hit it hard with Atrizine, aerated, put down top soil and threw down centipede seed... half the centipede actually came through, which was promising

This year, I tried 2,4-D when it was dormant and it didnt finish the job... now it's back and parts of my back yard are too far gone

There's only one real play left and it's going nuclear and resodding with something else... that'll be next year's project

reason only half your centipede seed came up is that Atrizine is a pre and post emerge herbicide. the residual effects kept the seed from germinating. 2-4D is a broadleaf weed killer, will not kill grassy weeds or bermuda grass. it may hurt it, but will not take it out.
