I’m looking at putting a mini split in my garage to help ease the humidity and heat. What brands do you recommend?

I diy’d a pioneer 24k wall unit. 10/10, would recommend. My 70yo dad loved it so much he diy’d a 24k ceiling unit.

I did the Daikin. There is a pretty good thread on here somewhere with a good bit of info on them as well as the insulation process for your garage
I did mine in February and it works amazing down here in the pits of hell...
You will not be sorry

….and this - many are not aware or realize that the attic above a garage or attached storage shed is not insulated. Attic insulation, as a general rule, is only added to conditioned areas inside the house serviced by the HVAC. The amount of heat transferred from an un-insulated attic to the space below is tremendous. Will allow you down-size the tonnage of the mini-split needed to cool the garage.

Daiken here as well it cools, heats and maintains the garage very well.

Yea and it’s cheap. About a dollar a foot for R13 and a couple hundy to insulate the garage door. Well worth it.
