Many thanks. You are absolutely correct about what I meant - 6 oz per acre. I’ve been thinking about doing 6 oz per acre three times per year (below the annual max).

Thankfully it’s not 6 oz per 1000 square feet, it would bankrupt me. However, the results I am seeing this winter after using it are better than expected. I have very few weeds this year compared to years past. Thanks again.

I started using Specticle this past April as I have serious Doveweed problem and Specticle is best pre-emergent for Doveweed - Prodiamine and Dimension have no discernible effect on it. Like you I did apply Specticle this fall and I’ve also found it’s done a superior job compared to Prodiamine and Dimension.

I’ve read on professional lawn forums, people in the commercial trade, state using 3 split applications of Specticle per year will provide excellent year around pre-emergent weed control in the lawn. If I recall correctly, I believe a 18 oz bottle will last 3 years, 3 applications per year, for my 9500 sq ft lawn area, or 4 years with 2 applications. Even at its higher price, that’s an acceptable cost to me, and significantly off-set by not having to buy nearly as much post-emergent herbicide.
