so you used the 20V Dewalt and you liked it?

The one i have is a piece of crap that can make 1-2 cuts before it dies, and i have several batteries so it's not the battery. I used it a couple of times and now it doesn't even work anymore.
20v or 24v is not enough for a good pole saw. You need their 40v version, or someone else's version that is over 40v

I used my own dewalt 5 ah batteries and the saw cut like the proverbial knife through 6" butter. I was trimming the oaks in the front yard and branches over the street, so I was making multiple cuts trying to keep the dropped weight minimal. I had to provide 14' clearance for our new overpriced fire truck.

But seriously you have compromised batteries or a damaged blade. The dewalt pole saw cut circles around my 12" dewalt 20v saw. I may be disappointed with this one though.

I had two batteries, and bought two more that were 5amphours.
Maybe there was something wrong with the saw I don’t know. Need to look up the warranty on it. It just never really worked well from the get go for me.

I recently bought the Kobalt 24V pole saw and picked the 5 speed hybrid 24V battery/110V AC fan as the free gift. I'm taking that fan everywhere (camping, fishing, gardening, garage, grilling, fire pile burning, tailgating, on my boat, etc. ) when I'm outside and a fan can help with the heat. I already had the 24V 12" Kobalt Chainsaw. It's already cut up a ton of large limbs and medium/small trees on our heavily wooded acreage. It's been extremely useful and has totally exceeded my expectations on power and battery life.

Here's a recent large fire pile, just I am starting to burn it. My 24V Kobalt chainsaw helped cut the limbs and small trees. It's really light and portable to use anywhere. I cut up wood for fire piles a lot this summer. Also have been using an Echo brush cutter a lot while I am clearing out our lake property acreage so you can walk all over it but still maintaining a wooded lot. I'm retiring my old Homelight pole saw.

Edit: I also picked up a 24V Kobalt 500 CFM blower on sale. The performance is super impressive. We have over 500' of 10' wide driveway that winds through the front of our fully wooded lot plus another several hundred feet of sidewalks. There's always lots of leaves and sticks to blow. This blower easily blows off the sticks and leaves and cleaned the driveway and sidewalks faster than my two gas blowers (a Hitachi commercial blower and an Echo PAS blower attachment) on a single 4AH fully charged battery. Amazing, and it weighs 3 lbs less than my Hitachi gas blower and it is also quieter and I don't need to wear hearing protection.
