I have called 10 companies looking for a quote on a 12 yd. load of limestone for a driveway in EBR. The only one to respond quoted me 1,400. is this fair pricing or do one of you fine people know the number of a guy that doesn't need to pay his mortgage with one load of rocks? Thanks in advance.

Try WIllie Bates 225 892-4218

Also Blade Services in Prairieville. It says excavating but I pass his place almost everyday and he has piles of dirt and limestone always out there.

Leave an update once you find someone. I have a limestone driveway that's about 20 years old and will need to add to it soon.

I’ll try to text my cousin in the morning. See what I can find out.

I had to get a few yards of river silt the other day. I have my own trailer for small loads like that. My cousin owns a number of silt pits behind the levee. With the Mississippi on the rise. He’s sitting on a stockpile.

Just talked with my cousin. Call
Perrault Trucking
(225) 749-2531

From them:
Give me address, person's name & physical address. Also email so I can send an estimate of cost. Check to be sure there are no obstacles to restrict bed from rising to spread it. Unless you want it dumped in a pile for someone to spread it.

224-749-2531. Sonya will get all pertinent info.

Tell them Dad or LSUDad told you to call.

Let me know if you need more info.

$100 per cubic yard crushed limestone is high, $50 to $75 would be better.
$200 for delivery is OK.

Glad I was able to help. My cousin has a great company with good folks.

Bulk Limestone is brought down mostly by barge, on the Mississippi River. It’s not cheap. But it does what it’s designed for.
