I'm looking at getting a new electric dryer and was surprised to see LG ranked the highest in reliability and most recommended on Consumer Reports. I know most on this board says speed queen and Napoleon says don't buy two letter makers but usually Consumer Reports gets it right. Anyone have opinions before I take a chance on LG?

I've had an LG washer and dryer going on 11 years now. No problems under after I submit this post.

I bought an LG washer and gas dryer from Costco 2 years ago with no complaints. Costco doubled the manufacturer warranty and offered free delivery and set up. No complaints so far.

I spoke with an appliance repair man a few weeks ago and he told me never buy a Samsung or LG washer/dryer.
No need to when Maytag is out there.

Got this one about 7-8 months ago at Lowe’s. It’s pretty basic, but that’s what I wanted. So far, I really like it. Extremely quiet and clothes dry very quickly. Has all the features I needed. Lowe’s LG Dryer

Bought an LG washer and dryer in 2006. Washer was crap but the dryer is still going strong. Its gas though.

We got whirlpool or maytag back in 2010 or so. Can't remember which brand. But I had a hell of a time getting them to pick that piece of shite up and give me my money back. Bought it from home depot and it broke after a week. Home Depot wouldn't take it back. The company sent out a repair man several times to fix it and it never got fixed. After several week of yelling at the phone guys (literally cussing them out and yelling eventually) i got a manger and he sent someone out to pick them up and gave me my money back. Bought LG after that and they were phenomenal. Left them there when we moved and bought LG again.

Bought LG washer dryer combo 10 and a half years ago. Replaced broken washer a couple years ago. Dryer still works but has gotten louder over the years and noticed it’s taking longer to fully dry the clothes compared to few years ago.

My LG electric dryer takes 2 runs to dry clothes. And I don’t over pack it. Gave it to my SIL. Repairman said nothing wrong with it. It’s only 3 yrs old.

Purchased a Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer 12 years ago and haven't had a single issue with either.
