It is getting close. How green is your grass percent wise.

Appreciate that. So if I do once every two months . I should be good to go.

I have St Aug and there's some greening on mine but lots of dead. Lawn looked really good couple of years ago but awful last year. It almost looks like different type of grass growing now. What is best fertilizer to use?

I'm DFW and this is my treatment schedule. Works pretty well.

Prodiamine - early Feb
Prodiamine - early March
Fertilizer - mid April
Fertilizer - late May
Fertilizer - July 4
Fertilizer - early Aug (skip if it's been super hot and dry)
Simazine - early Oct
Simazine - early Nov

I burned my front yard a couple of weeks ago. Went ahead and put out fertilizer. Just now starting to green up some. I had a bag of ironite from a few years ago that I found and threw that in there too.

I’ll probably fertilize again in middle of May. Won’t fertilize again though.

If it’s St Aug it could be take all patch. You could have common bermuda coming in. Pics would help.

Just looking at the pics it doesn't appear to be take all patch. It looks very slow out of dormancy. Have you mowed yet? If not then I would drop the mower down one notch and bag. It should help to remove dormant grass.

Granular is much quicker and easier to put down. So much so that I wouldn't fool with liquid though I have melted down AMS in the past.

Sounds good. And how much should I water it right after applying it? First time trying this.

Weed and feed out out last Saturday before the rain…

What else should I do?

Centipede and whatever filled in the other half acre or confident sod…

I don’t fertilize until it starts raining.

If it doesn’t rain a .25 inch or so, give your lawn a good soak. You want it to dissolve and get into the soil.

Centipede? Mow every 7 days and fertilize again in early July with 15-0-15. Then you’ll be done until fall pre emergent.

Had tons of clover… I see some yellowing up… anything I can do further to get rid of the remainder?
