I have a few spots in my yard that have lawn debris showing and not allowing the nutrients to get into soil. How to get rid of it? Or will eventually rain, and core aeration help? I tried verticutting the area but it’s depressing!!

Can you verticut it again? I would go again if it's still full.

I have a 2” bulb drill bit.

I’d use that to drill holes in the areas, collect the debris and refill with masons sand.
