I'm preparing to do some core aeration with myself and few neighbors. Do I need to call 811 before doing it? I know all the utilities are deep except for the cable lines from Comcast and ATT from the meter to the houses.

In general I’d say no since it’s so shallow, but you are still responsible if you damage something.

Just skip the parts where the cable line runs.

Aerate the yard. Everything by law is supposed to be buried deep enough

Usually.

I just cut my cable edging today.

I put a work order in, but I might just try to repair it and bury deeper tomorrow if it goes well and cancel the tech visit.
