I think so but I'm not sure. It's not in the lil clumps, it's sending stolons out like St Aug but doesn't match the St Aug in my yard.

It is not crabgrass. St Aug and carpetgrass look very similair. The difference is the St Aug leaf will make a V and the carpetgrass alternates. Both have rolled ligules with little hairs. The stolon of carpetgrass tends to have a purpleish color. That being said I don't see any leafs coming off in a perfect V so I'm leaning carpetgrass.

Thanks, Ronk. After reading the Ag Center publication on it I think you're right. It's growing in an area that takes a while to dry out and needs soil work.
For some reason I had carpetgrass and dove weed mixed up in my head so I didn't even consider it.

Yea looks like carpet - Ronk helped me ID carpet grass in my lawn a few weeks ago, I have a massive patch like over 1000 sq ft which has been there since I bought the house. Needless to say 2 applications of Celsius (at 1tsp per gallon) spaced 3 weeks apart annihilated it.

The only thing I've found to get rid of carpet grass is two treatments of high rate Celsius done about 3 weeks apart.
