Is it okay to put some sod down in areas of my yard where there is dead grass, it was dead before the winter

Its the second week of February. There could be plenty cold to come, we've had freezes in April. It is supposed to be 33 Sunday.

You can put dormant sod down whenever you want. A place I work for had landscaping done last year. They laid Bermuda around this time last year. When spring came around it took off.

You can install sod year round. Installation this time of year is the easiest to get to grow. You don’t have to water it. Make sure there is some dirt for it to root into, lay it and walk away.

We installed about 6000 pallets in 2022. We’ve installed about 400 pallets already this year.

The stuff we just installed is doing way better than the stuff installed in the drought of September and October last year.

Install the sod. It won’t root until temps are in the 70’s, but won’t hurt it. Remember to still keep it damp, although Mother Nature has had you covered, lately.

Good time to lay sod. Biggest problem I’ve had installing this time of year especially with st Aug is root rot from it getting to wet. So water lightly

No an "Easter Week Cool Snap" is as reliable as a mother's love. Also, if it thunders in February it will frost on the corresponding day in April.

Sat outside this morning and smoked a cigar while the sun was coming up. At one point it got really still and quiet. Then you could hear the high pitched swirling sound of cold air blowing in.

Hearing that in SELA is kind of cool.
