I’ve got two older units that are circling the drain, one stopped blowing cool air yesterday. Probably fixable in the interim but it’s probably time to stop pouring money into these and replace them.

Obviously prepared to be bent over here but which companies in the BR area are trustworthy and do good work ?

I had one replaced in May and used Duvall from a friends recommendation. Father and son came out to quote and other son led install team. so far so good.

Also got a quote from rebel. seemed good too. within a couple hundred of each other.

Just got a 5 ton american standard (silver) same as Trane, inside and outside unit replaced, electric heat, no duct work, inside unit was in a very hard spot to get to,

$8K.... I was pleasantly surprised

Comfort control heating and air.

I think they're out of walker

Got a quote from southern, they seemed on the higher side. I’m assuming because you’re paying for that 10 year parts and labor warranty

Interested the company you used to get the American standard. I put in the same unit and was more expensive that that.

Make sure you get a manual J and S report. It will tell you exactly what size you need and how it will perform in your climate not lab numbers.

Also the size you currently have sizes might not be correct either

If one guy tells you that your furnace is still in good shape, would you still just go ahead and replace it while replacing the condenser ?
