Are you sure it's rain damage? My bermuda was anhialated by army worms. Seems like they destroyed yard overnight.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.
Do the dish soap test

Will try the test but it’s coming back green. I hadn’t cut it for a few days because of all the rain so I had to cut more than I normally cut.

This sounds totally normal. And if it's coming back green then it'll look great in a week or two if it can still get enough sun this late in the season.

Temps are certainly hot enough.

This is what I’m thinking but not sure if it will totally green up. You think it’s to late for ammonium sulfate?

I don't think it's too late for a spoon feed.
I'll probably fertilize once more over the next week.

My yard was showing the same in some areas, especially where I had seeded a few months ago.
Did a hoc reset on that section.
Then threw down some urea on the whole yard Friday and now looking good again.
By the end of week I think you will be fine.

Same. Shocked how fast they destroyed mine. Happened about a week after the storm.

I think this is what I accidentally did to my yard without realizing it. I had been cutting at 1.25 inches and hadn’t cut for almost a week. When I went back and cut with rotary mower, it scalped it and now my reel mower is still cutting it at that same height so it’s not coming in green. Think I will just set my reel mower up a little bit and set everything back to 1 inch after the spring.
