I'm looking at a hunting camp that has double wide mobile home sitting on it. It is probably 15 years old and suppodily in good shape (outside looks nice, but I haven't seen the inside). Hasn't been lived in regularly in 3 years or so.

Would this be easy to sell? How to value it? It would have to be moved and is 15 miles from the nearest town.

You can have it appraised.

Mobile home values are more like cars than homes. They go down with age no matter the condition.

We will be selling one soon and I'm probably just gonna advertise it as make me an offer and see what kind of bites I get.

things like that are very often thought of as disposable when installed.

as mentioned do it as make an offer and cosider giving it a way if need be to avoid the cost of you paying for hauling it off.

it will most likely cost the entire value of what its worth to move it so the new buyer needs an incentive to get it from you

It is pretty much worthless. If you want to move it and someone is willing to move it then you have your solution.

If you want quick and easy but I am guessing not top dollar there are plenty of companies that buy mobile homes just Google it. My inlaws bought a piece of property to build a vacation house in the mountains that had a mobile home on it, he contacted one of these "buyers" and had it off the property pretty quickly. He was more worried about having to deal with it than the money. Mobile homes often live 2 or more lives often ending up in those pay by the week/month trailer parks before being destroyed.

List it FOR SELL on Facebook. 15 years isn't that old if it's in good shape. With all the stimmy. Money aroundaround someone will pay you more than you think for it. You certainly won't have to give it away.

You have 2 options

1. List it online in several places "free - must be moved"

2. Hire a guy with an excavator to smash it and haul away

It wouldn’t be suitable for the hunting camp? Just leave it there and use it.

I just sold my 30-year-old double-wide hunting camp for $2,000 less than I bought it for 8 years ago. Where are you located? Someone will definitely buy it.

I have always heard banks wont loan money for a used trailer so the value plummets.

You should be able to find someone to take it but dont expect to make much. Probably sell for a few thousand dollars.

I actually just sold one a couple weeks ago. Facebook marketplace is a good idea to get prices on them, and you would be surprised at how much they are worth if in decent shape. NADA also has a valuation tool but it costs around $40.00 per report. I contacted a gentleman who buys, moves and then resells them. I would look into going that route instead of trying to deal with selling directly to the public. It will save you a big headache going that route. Tip for facebook marketplace is to search for modular home though to get the results you want. Mine was a 2013 14'x70' with 3 beds and 2 baths, I offered it to him for $30,000.00 and he ended up paying me $25,000.00 for it.

We had the use of a double wide in Lusk, Wyoming for years.
Mel developed a liking for us and insisted that we use his calf cutting mobile home when we came up to hunt.

Mel had oil leases and considered his ranch to be a Hobby Ranch. Best accommodations we ever enjoyed.

Antelope, Mule Deer, Bear, Elk and almost got the Mountain Lion I wanted. Got a call off season ...Cattlemen's association put out a bounty for a cat taking calves in the spring. Heard the shot about half a mile away and knew my opportunity had vanished.

It was great ...come in from the hunt, shower, cook, dishwasher ....beat the hell out of being outside. We had 500 acres with no one around.

He is not in Mississippi. What area are you in? May just do a quick google search for mobile home buyers/sellers/movers in your area. Dealerships will often times buy used units as well. I've also seen guys on craigslist and marketplace advertise that they are buying mobile homes.
