First cut of new palisades zoysia was 3 weeks after install and at top level of mower
Was cut to near 4 inches tall
Can I cut again 3 days later to take it down to 3 inches tall?

I'd cut it high for a couple of months and let it get well established. I cut my zoysia to 3" and it's beautiful

How often do you have to dethatch it?

How long until you can top dress it?

Sure you can. What height is the end goal?

Good question. First time having palisades zoysia so not positive yet. Have read about 2 inches but curious if it will look good shorter so was planning to evaluate once I get down to 2

Zoysia looks great low. I keep mine under 1.5”
You may need to do a HOC reset to get the leaves to be at the right height to be full at that height.

The contractor who laid it said to wait until next year to dethatch. I had it installed February 2023. I am about to topdress it here in the next week or so.
