I have moles in my front yard and my grass went from nice last summer to now 50% of my yard is barren with weeds growing in the dirt spots.

moles eat worms and grubs.

It's the grubs that are killing your lawn, most likely.

Kill the grubs and the moles will leave.

Moles burrowing thru the soil causes the grass to loose contact with soil. The soil dries out faster being loosened and separated. Thus the grass doesn't get any moisture and dies.
