Anyone got any idea on these that AREN'T Traders Village? My deceased Grandfathers shop was finally broken into. It's all gone. Just bare fricking floors left of a Pontiac Master Mechanic from the 50-70's shop. Who also enjoyed woodworking.

I will go through and see what scraps remain, but am not hopeful. So I will now be going the yard sale and swap meet route. I've just never seen a vintage tool swap meet, only yard sales etc and estate sales.

Any leads you guys have?

I’ve been searching FB marketplace and Craigslist and yard sales.

I would sign up to receive emails from estatesales.net. You can specify what you're looking for and then receive emails when your keyword shows up in sales. It's called a treasure tracker, I think. I get emails when "vintage Christmas" shows up on a listing.

Sign up for Dowd’s Antique and Vintage Tool’s emails. He goes to Houston periodically. He’s in the Dallas area. I go by his house whenever I’m in Dallas. I haven’t found better prices anywhere. He’s so reasonable, I don’t bother haggling. Great source of machinist tools too. I’ve gotten four or five Starrett squares from him in the $20-30 range.

59 north @ 242 there is an outdoor auction on weekends packed. It’s on the west side of 59 next to a biker bar

Check.

I’ve been all over these. Facebook is becoming better than CL.

This guy looks like the winner?

Does he do any outright sales/shipping online?

No webpage to my knowledge. He has the equivalent of about a four car garage and his backyard loaded with tools. I believe I called him once asking if he had a particular item and had it shipped to me. He’s a nice guy and will feed you pies baked by his wife if you ever make it to his house. Shoot him an email or call if you are looking for something.
