Anybody have experience with homemade lawn fertilizers that uses Epsom salt, ammonia, dish soap, beer or other items found at home? I have a centipede lawn if that makes a difference. Any good recipes out there or is the internet generally of poop?

Might work better for centipede which doesn’t require much nitrogen, but if you are growing Bermuda or want a high end fescue lawn you need nitrogen in large quantities.

Epsom salt works, but mostly just boosts color. Easier to just use iron.

Dry molassas from the local feed store. It Fred's the micro es, who churn up the soil and return rich nutrients to your grass, plus, ants hate it and nice away.

There was an old man on PBS years ago. He used piss and beer in all his fertilizer concoctions.
